The West Indies team are firm favorites to win the second
ODI of the on going One Day International series against Sri Lanka.
The first match that was held recently between the two teams ended in the most
unexpected manner. The match was down to the wire and was decided in the last
over. If the first match is any indication of what is to come, then all fans
of the game of cricket can expect a lot of action. The second ODI match
of the 3 ODI series will be played on the 12th of April, telecast for which
starts at 1330 GMT.

After the enthralling first match performances, the second
match between both the teams is expected to be high n cricketing brilliance.
The West Indies team has proved to the entire cricketing world that the departure
of various legendry players will not harm their cricket. The team lived up to
the moment in the first ODI match against Sri Lanka and won the tie on the last
ball. The team did not show any sign of choking or of nervousness and fought
like a unit. All the players of the team contributed towards the victory. The
team performed brilliantly on the whole and certain special performances from
players like Chris Gayle and Chanderpaul helped the team win the first match.
Dwayne Bravo has been the find of the season for the West Indian team.
The player has delivered consistently and in all matches. In the previous match,
Bravo took 4 precious wickets and helped his team in reducing the Sri Lankan
total. The West Indies team at the moment looks set for big things and should
be able to fend off the Sri Lankan challenge successfully.
The Sri Lankan team on the other hand must try and get the defeat suffered
at the hand of the Windies in the first ODI from their system. The team comprises
of some extremely talented players who are all capable of single handedly winning
games for the team. Despite the heroics of various players including Kapugedera
and Silva, the Sri Lankan team could not manage a victory. The team must however
realize that the loss in the first match can be easily be erased by the various
matches that are to follow. Various top players including Chaminda Vaas, Kumara
Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, and Tharanga should fire in order to ensure
a win for the touring Sri Lankan team. The team must play to their full potential
in order to make up for the absence of various top players including Muttiah
Murlitharan and Sanath Jayasuriya.
