West Indies will be hoping to create a major upset when they come up against
the mighty Australians in the third test of the three match Frank Worrel test series. The Windies have fought the Australians closely, contrary to
most expectations and will be hoping that they can reward their exciting approach
with a win this time around. Australia lead the series 1-0 and expect the West
Indies to give it their all this coming Thursday 12th of June 2008.

West Indies enter the third Test aiming to secure a 1-1 draw, which
would be a major bonus for a team that has struggled to win anything on foreign
soil. They gave Australia a tight contest in the first Test before slipping
away on the final day to lose by 95 runs, and in the second match a determined
partnership from Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul sealed a draw when
things could have gone either way. The inclusion of their captain Chris Gayle,
who missed the first two Tests with a groin injury, will definitely aid their
preparations for this upcoming tie.
Australia on the other have had faltered a wee bit in their past four matches
winning one, losing one and drawing two. The bowling in particular seems to
have suffered from the absence of Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne
and although Brett Lee and Mitchell Johnson make for a formidable opening line
up, they are still a cut below what they used to be. However, the batting is
still a force to reckon with as the likes of Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden
have proved time and time again throughout this tournament and having won all
their test series since that infamous Ashes loss of 2005, expect the Australian
to rise up to the task against the West Indies this coming Thursday.
