Zimbabwe
will play Bangladesh in the fifth and the final ODI of the series that
will be played at Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe had already won the series
at the end of the third game and that is the reason why they rested Brian Vitori
in the fourth game and as a result, they lost the game.

With the series now placed at 3-1, Bangladesh would love to end the series on
a high, especially after the pasting that they have received in all the first
three ODIs and the one-off Test match. The time could just be right to win another
one before they can get going for the series against Pakistan.
It was a surprising move by the Zimbabwean camp to rest Vitroi, probably borne
out of the series coming up against Pakistan. What the side needed to
probably do was to rest him for the fifth game so that he gets enough break
for the series against Pakistan, which in any case is 10 days away. Surely a
bowler could do with that kind of a break.
However, now the side will look to get him back into the side in order to get
moving and winning the series 4-1. Whether the Bangladeshis would allow that to
happen remains to be seen.
Brendan Taylor, despite the loss would be reasonably happy with the
fact that he went on to score a century, something that he hasn't done in the
series before this game.
On the other hand, Bangladesh were helped by their bowling in the middle of the
innings, in which they sat the side bowling Zimbabwe out for 198 after it had
looked at one stage that they would get to 250 at the bare minimum. 183 for four
at one, the last six wickets added only 16 more to get out early.
Rubel Hossain must be given credit for the way he bowled, not only with
the new ball but also the way he came back and scalped those four wickets. The
spinners did a decent job, however, it must be said that they were helped by
the fact that Zimbabwe had lost early wickets and had failed to get going in
the manner that they had in the previous games.
Bangladesh may be slight favourites to win this one, but if Zimbabwe can field
first, things could just be slightly different.
