The second ODI between Zimbabwe and New Zealand will be played in October
22 at 7:30 GMT in Harare. Zimbabwe have nothing to lose now, so they must be crazy
to get a win, and the tourists will be trying to continue their winning form.
Zimbabwe yet to compete in any match against New Zealand, they got another humiliation
in the first ODI match as well. Batting first they put up a moderate score of
231 for 6, but to be honest, with the form of New Zealand's batsman the chase
of 232 was very much for gettable.

Once again, the hosts were unable to put up a big score so that winning becomes
very tough for the tourists. Except skipper Brendon Taylor and Mutizwa
all their batsmen failed to show resistance against the New Zealand bowling
attack. In fact, once they were 21 for 4, from that unpleasant situation skipper
made an unbeaten century of 128 runs, but his effort went in vein, when their
bowlers were proved toothless once again.
The tourists reached their destination losing only 1 wickets. Debutant Nicol
scored unbeaten 108 runs while Martin Guptill played another brilliant
innings of 74 runs. The hosts must do something now, especially with their bowling
attack. They must come up with something different, something more aggressive
to stop the tourists.
Their bowlers Kyle Jarvis and Chris Mpofu were repeatedly smashed in
the same style, but they did not provide any variation in their bowling! These
two have to be more careful when they will be meeting the likes of Nicol, Guptill
and McCullum.
The tourists are now on the verge of another series win. All they need to do is
play their normal cricket. They outclassed their opponent in each and every match
of the tournament, and is very likely to repeat their performance once again,
especially debutant Nicol to seal the ODI series as early as possible.
Bracewell and Franklin got couple of wickets, but they were little bit expensive
in the first ODI, so they are expected to do better in the next match.
This tour is turning out to be another humiliation for the home Zimbabwean
side. Nothing is going right with them. On the other hand, New Zealand have
been performing like they wanted to. It seems that to get a win against the
mighty New Zealand side the home side must do something upside down.
