New Zealand played their first international match after the World Cup like South
Africa, but they did not look like they have not been playing since March, in
fact they gave literally no chance of winning the first Twenty20I to their opponent
Zimbabwe.

At first they bowl pretty well giving 123 runs which must be gettable for them
against any team and then they got a flier start and continued till the end
of the innings. They got 10 wickets victory over Zimbabwe with 39 balls
to spare. The second and final Twenty20I between these two teamswill be played
in October 17 at 17:30 IST or 12:00 GMT in Harare.
Their next meeting will be a crucial match for both teams. If New Zealand
win, they will win the Twenty20I series, and if Zimbabwe win they will be a
lot happy to get a draw, but New Zealand will not let the next meeting an easy
contest for the home side. Like the first match, they will be trying to dominate
both in batting and bowling sides. Their openers Brendon McCullum and Martin Guptill must be extremely happy after their superlative performance
in the first Twenty20I and it will be a great pleasure for them if they a get
a chance to bat first, they will then to get a massive total and take the match
away from the home side, but batting second will also do the job as they know
how to hit the Zimbabwean bowlers ruthlessly. Except these two batsmen New Zealand
also have plenty of batting to come.
Their bowlers might try to do a little bit better than the first Twenty20I,though
the repetition of their previous performance would be good enough to get another
victory and winning the series 2-0.
On the other hand, skipper Brendan Taylor must be in great pressure
as he is on the verge of losing another series. He played an anchor role as
usual, but their players could not follow him at all. While batting Zimbabwean
batting line-up collapsed from the early of the innings in front of the New
Zealand bowling attack, so they should be more focused in their batting as it
is firmly believed that in Twenty20I batting plays a vital role probably more
than the bowling. Their bowlers should come up with a different effective idea
otherwise they will surely get another humiliation from the tourists especially
from the opener McCullum.
If Zimbabwe want to get a win, then they have to do something extraordinary otherwise
it will be an easy Twenty20I for New Zealand. The home side will try to do it
as they have no option left other than going all-out against their opponent.
