Former Australian spinner Terry Jenner, mentor to Shane Warne, has
termed Anil Kumble as the best in the business and also predicted that
Piyush Chawla would turn out to be a matchwinner.
"There is no question and no doubt in my mind that Anil Kumble is the best
in business now. Murali will become the number one bowler and would take more
Test wickets before he retires. But, Shane is rated as the best bowler ever because
he has been a role model," Jenner said.
"Kumble is a wrist spinner and an outstanding bowler.
He will not say that his stock balls are leg-breaks," Jenner told a press
conference here.
Jenner, here to train the boys at the MAC Spin Foundation,
said he watched Chawla's bowling with great interest.
"He is going to be one of the successful bowlers in the
next few years. If I come to know Piyush is bowling, I will turn the television
on. I think that this is the best compliment that I can give him. He will turn
out to be a match winner." But the Australian said the youngster still
had room for improvement.
"Piyush has got one basic fault. He is bowling six different
balls in an over," he said.
