In the LG ICC player rankings in Test cricket there is no considerable
change in the top five for test bowlers.
Mohammed Asif makes his entry into the top 10 and equals
a Pakistan record for fewest matches to break into the top 10 - that's
nine test matches.
Asif is now Pakistan's top ranked bowler ahead of Shoaib
Akhtar.
No change among the top five test batsmen. The series defeat
in South Africa notwithstanding, Mohammed Yousuf manages to hang
onto his place at number two.
The good news for South Africa is Jacques Kallis climbing
the batting rankings and extending his lead on the all rounder charts as well.
Pakistan and South Africa meanwhile stay on in 3rd and 6th
place in the rankings for teams, but South Africa are now level with fifth placed
Sri Lanka in terms of ranking points.
