The cricket camp for the Ireland-bound Indian one-day squad began in full swing
on the second day here today following the arrival of six players who could not
reach yesterday because of flight delays.
Former captain Sourav Ganguly and wicketkeeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni,
Yuvraj Singh, Ramesh Powar, Piyush Chawla and
Rudra Pratap Singh -- who faced difficulties in reaching here on time due to the strike
by Indian employees -- joined the camp today.
Skipper Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Robin
Uthappa, Dinesh Kaarthick, Rohit Sharma, Zaheer Khan, Ajit Agarkar and S Sreesanth
reported at the camp yesterday afternoon.
The campers are scheduled to have a full session today at the
Chinnaswamy Stadium, according to camp coordinator Ramesh Rao.
The camp is being supervised by bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad
and fielding coach Robin Singh in the presence of physio John
Gloster and trainer Greg King.
Manager for the tour and former Test captain Chandu Borde will
not attend the camp and will join the team on June 19 in Mumbai, from where
they will depart for London en-route to Ireland.
