Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly today said he wants to improve his
poor record at home turf with a century against Sri Lanka at Eden Gardens
on Thursday.
"I know I don't have a good record at the Eden Gardens.
I want to make amends. If I can get a century it will be great," Ganguly
said.
"It is my dream to score a hundred at the Eden,"
said the left hander, whose ouster from the Indian team had resulted in the
crowd booing the home side during the one dayer against South Africa in November
2005.
Ganguly, who returned to the Indian team with a bang scoring
a finely struck 98 against the West Indies at Nagpur last month, expressed satisfaction
with his side's showing opposite Brian Lara's team.
"More than scoring a personal century, I think it is important
for the Indian team to win this match and the series. We have played well against
the West Indies. Its important to keep the winning momentum going," he
said.
