Praising Rahul Dravid for his man management skills,
cricket legend Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi says the Indian captain should
stamp his authority through a stronger body language while on the field.
"A captain should look the captain, he should seem
the captain," Pataudi said while talking to reporters on the sidelines
of a book-release function here last night.
The former India captain appreciated Dravid for his
cricketing acumen and skills in managing the resources.
"There is no doubt that Rahul is good in things
like handling the boys and making bowling changes," said Pataudi.
Pataudi, who is credited with inculcating in the Indians the winning habit,
said he wished he had greg chappell as coach during his reign.
"I would love to have Chappell as coach because he has brought discipline
in the side and has create options for the team," he said.
'Tiger', as he is called by his friends, the Indian team's fielding standard
left much to be desired, though.
"Our fielding is not good. But grounds are to be blamed for this. Our
grounds are such that you cannot dive on these. By the time you become 21-22
it's too late to learn. This habit should be inculcated early," Pataudi,
himself a good fielder, said.
