England captain Michael Vaughan won the toss and elected to bowl against
the West Indies in the inconsequential, final World Cup Super Eights cricket
one-dayer here today.
Both teams are out of the reckoning but the match will be of
significance for the hosts captain Brian Lara, the world record holder
for the highest Test individual score who will be playing in his last international
game.
England coach Duncan Fletcher will also be assisting
the team for the last time, having announced his stepping down earlier.
The teams: West Indies: Brian Lara (captain), Ramnaresh Sarwan,
Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Devon Smith, Marlon Samuels, Dwayne Bravo,
Denesh Ramdin, Daren Powell, Jerome Taylor and Corey Collymore.
England: Michael Vaughan (capain), Andrew Strauss, Ravi Bopara,
Kevin Pietersen, Paul Colingwood, Andrew Flintoff, Jamie Dalrymple, Paul Nixon,
Liam Plunkett, Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad.
