Sports broadcaster ESPN Star Sports today said it has acquired telecast rights
of one-day internationals to be played between India and Scotland in August.
ESPN Star Sports will broadcast the matches from August 16, which will be played
during India's tour of England, Ireland and Scotland, the company
said in a statement.
ESPN already holds International Cricket Council (ICC)
global telecast and marketing rights till 2015. It also has rights for two ICC
Cricket World Cups in 2011 and 2015, ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Twenty20 World
Cups from 2007-10 and 2012-14.
"We are delighted to bring the India-Scotland ODIs to
millions of cricket followers in the country. We have uninterrupted international
cricket lined up over the next 15 months," ESPN Software India Managing
Director R C Venkateish said.
