Former India coach John Wright will be back to his coaching ways in October when he takes charge of the national A team for a series against Australian state sides.
The 53-year-old former New Zealand opener and captain signed up with the country's Cricket Board last month but his specific job description is yet to be worked out. However, it is expected to include working with budding talent, the major associations and the national team's top order batsmen.

"I'm definitely keen to help the current internationals if they want me. I don't want to interfere or step on anyone's toes, but I'd certainly be available if someone wanted me to work with a specific player or players," Wright was quoted as saying by the 'New Zealand Herald'.

Wright left India in 2005 after his four-year stint as the chief coach during which India won historic series in Pakistan and drew with Australia in Australia, besides reaching the World Cup final in 2003.
