The Future Cup win against South Africa in Ireland has pushed India
to fifth spot and helped four of its players to jump into the top ten of the Maruti
Suzuki ODI rankings.
Team India, ranked as low as eighth in April, now has 69 points.
World champions Australia continue their dominance in both
versions of the game. With a total of 99 points, they top the ODI rankings.
Sri Lanka (93 points) are at the second spot with South Africa (83) occupying
the third slot.
Three Indian batsmen -- Sourav Ganguly (174 points),
M S Dhoni (169), Sachin Tendulkar (160) -- have moved into the top ten
courtesy their impressive shows against the Proteas.
At seventh spot, Zaheer Khan is the only Indian among the bowlers to
figure in the top 10.
