The Meerut district administration has expressed its apprehensions over hosting
the third and final ODI between the veteran cricket teams of India
and Pakistan.
Former Indian Test cricketer and Board of Veteran
Cricket in India (BVCI) president Chetan Chauhan held parleys with
senior police officials in this regard.
Udaipur will host the first of the three matches of Indo-Pak
Veterans Cricket Series on 23 February. The other matches will be played at
Kozhikode (25 February) and Meerut ( 27 February).
The Meerut district administration claims that it has received
information that some hardliners might disrupt the cricket match and says that
it does not wants to take any risk with the security of Pakistani players.
