Zealand bowled the Australians out for just 148 inside the 50 overs. Mike
Hussey top-scored for the visitors with 42.
New Zealand reached their victory target with 23 overs to spare,
skipper Stephen Fleming ending on 70 not out and Lou Vincent hitting
Mitchell Johnson for six to seal the win and finish unbeaten on 73.
The teams meet in the second match of the series in Auckland
on Sunday and the third and final game will be played in Hamilton on Tuesday.
