The organisers have decided not to allow the spectators to
carry plastic water bottles inside the stadium during the sixth ODI between
India and Australia here on October 14.
They will instead be allowed to carry water in pouches. In the wake of spectators
throwing water bottles during today's match in Vadodara, Chief Coordinator of
Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Sudhir Dabir and Joint Commissioner of Police
Babasaheb Kangale informed reporters about this decision here.
The teams will be arriving here tomorrow afternoon, but there
will be no net practice on the day of their arrival. Both teams will, however,
work out on the field on Saturday, VCA Secretary Vijay Chitale said.
Meanwhile, all arrangements have been completed for the match, while tickets
have been sold out. Elaborate security arrangements have been put in place to
ensure an incident-free event.
Thirty-four cameras will monitor the movements of spectators
and unruly fans will be evicted out of the stadium, Chitale said.
