The BCCI president, Sharad Pawar, will address the Indian World Cup team here on February 27 before it leaves for the West Indies.

The BCCI chief will talk to players after the official media conference at the Board's headquarters in the Wankhede Stadium, Board sources said today.

Departing from tradition the Board has arranged the media conference a day before the team leaves for the Caribbean and captain Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell are to address the presspersons.

The squad is set to leave in the early hours of March 1.
