Sourav Ganguly, who skipped the practice session yesterday due to stiff back,
is expected to be fit for the second cricket Test with the team management including
him in the shortlist of 12 players for the match.
Captain Rahul Dravid said Ganguly was in much better shape after a day's
rest and would take part in the net sessions today.
"Sourav is progressing well. He will take part in full
practice session today and we will have a clearer picture (on his fitness) at
the end of the day," Dravid told reporters on the match eve.
"But he's feeling a lot better than yesterday and we have picked him in
the twelve along with Yuvraj Singh," he added.
Ganguly, who had sustained the injury during the first Test
at the Lord's, came for the practice session yesterday but did not bat and just
strolled around.
