Australian captain Ricky Ponting, yet to fully recover from hamstring injury, is doubtful starter for the first one-day cricket match against India at M Chinnaswamy Stadium here tomorrow.
"We are not 100 per cent sure but he is very close to playing tomorrow," stand-in skipper Adam Gilchrist told reporters.

Ponting is recovering from a hamstring strain suffered at the Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa.

"He is well. He will play a part in the series. He has made great progress and I am not saying it to the Indian team but to his fans that you will see Ricky Ponting on this tour," he said.
