Paraguay played World Cup holders Italy in their first match of the group.
They caused an upset when they managed to find the back of Italy's net in the

were not able to hold onto the lead and Italy equalised in the sixty third minute.
This was a great effort by Paraguay and they will be sure to want to build
on this with a win against Slovakia.
Slovakia may have thought that the game against New Zealand would be an easy win,
but they were shocked to find that things just weren't going to be so easy. Slovakia
did manage to take the lead at the fifty minute mark but they were unable to build
at this. They were then shocked when New Zealand managed to score in injury time.
This really was a disappointing result for Slovakia and they will really need
to dig a lot deeper for this next match against Paraguay. This last encounter
provided more proof that there really are no easy fixtures in the World Cup.
This next game between Slovakia and Paraguay promises to be full of plenty
of thrills. At the beginning of the tournament it seemed that Italy would have
an easy time of it in this group bit it hasn't worked out like that. Paraguay
