Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat against Bermuda in the World Cup Group B encounter today.

Lankans openers Upul Tharanga and Sanath Jayasuriya were helped their team to cross 50 in 6.1 overs. Sri Lanka were 74 for one in 11th overs.

Jayasuriya was sent back by Mukuddem on 22.

The match being played at the Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) is the first of the group which also features India and Bangladesh.
