Sri Lanka won the fourth one-dayer against New Zealand
by 189 runs here on today, squaring their 5-ODI series at 2-2, sources said.
According to the sources, Sri Lanka bundled out the
Kiwis for a paltry 73 -- their second-lowest total in one-day internationals.
Sri Lanka made 262 for six in their quota of 50 overs.
Lankan pacers Chaminda Vaas and Malinga took three wickets
apiece, while off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan claimed two.
New Zealand's dismal performance followed a dashing display
by Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara, who both slammed half-centuries.
Jayasuriya made a blazing 70 off just 44 balls while Sangakkara (79) steadied
the innings after three wickets were lost for just one run.
