The BCCI has approved setting up of a cricket stadium at Bathinda in Punjab,
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) acting chief and MP Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today.
The total cost of the project will be Rs 25 crore, he told reporters here.
He said a cricket academy would also be set up at the proposed stadium.
Punjab had already one stadium at Mohali which is on the list
of BCCI for holding international matches.
Sukhbir, who is the son of Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal,
said that the move would help the youth enormously to pursue
their career in the sport.
