The Indian team has suffered a severe setback with star batsman Sachin Tendulkar pulling out of the 4th and final ODI against Sri Lanka to be played on Saturday.

The BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah announced on Thursday that Tendulkar pulled out of the crucial tie due to a stiff back. This is the last ODI that the Indians will be participating in before the World Cup commences next month.

Tendulkar has been prone to injuries over last couple of seasons and it is not the first time that a back problem has kept him out of a game. The Mumbai maestro has less than two weeks recover before the Indian team leaves for the Caribbean on Feb 28th.
