Ahead of the big final against acrhrivals Pakistan in the Twenty20 World
Cup, Yuvraj Singh is confident of playing a big innings and is focused
on his job, his father Yograj Singh said.
"Yuvraj is concentrating and focusing like Arjun (in 'Mahabharat') for the
all important final. The only target before him now is to make India victorious,"
Yograj told reporters here today.
Yograj said he talked to his son over phone this morning and
he was looking ahead to play another match-winning innings for his country.
"He is desperate to win the final for the country. Yuvraj
knows his responsibility and knows fully well that despite playing big knocks
in the previous matches, one has to give his best against such tough opponents,"
Yograj said.
He said that his son was improving with every game and it was a good sign that
the 25-year-old player was displaying a wide range of shots.
"There are some tips which we keep exchanging after every match. In the
previous match against Australia, he told me he could not transfer the
weight properly and thus the shot could not get proper elevation," he said.
