Two defeats, a tour cancel threat and a scrapped pact later the Indians arrive at Perth, still searching for their first victory on this tour. With the scoreline reading 2-0 in the favor of the Aussies this is a must win game for the Indians, and not an easy one at that. India will create history if they pull this one off since no team from the subcontinent has ever won or even drawn a match at the WACA before.

Yuvraj Singh has been dropped, for obvious reasons. Australia too have made a change at the top of the order, for entirely different reasons though. Hayden''s hamstring hasn''t recovered enough for him to play at Perth. Chris Rogers, the Western Australia opener will make his debut and along with Phil Jacques form one of the most inexperienced opening combinations Australia have had for quite some time. And not surprisingly, Shaun Tait has been recalled in place of Brad Hogg. "Taity will be used in short spells to really unsettle the batsmen," Ponting said. "As we have seen through his career, he is a wicket-taking machine. It''s very rare that he goes a game or an innings without taking two or three wickets."

Much has been said about the pitch at the WACA, but the fact remains that while the Aussie batsman continue to average over 50 here (except Symonds), their overseas counterparts haven''t had much luck. Day 3 Tea: Another interesting session of cricket as the pendulum continued swing from one end to the other. The Australians started off with a bang to remove Irfan Pathan early but after that, VVS Laxman and Mahendra Singh Dhoni battled it out to resurrect the Indian innings. This duo got together in a handy 75 run partnership and got the game back into India''s court. Just as we were heading into Tea, Dhoni played a needless shot to throw his wicket away and the captain didn''t last long as well. Once again, the golden arm of Symonds did the trick for Ponting and turned the game slightly. Laxman is still there in the middle and is batting with a lot of confidence. The Indians would be happy with this lead as this looked very unlikely when they stepped into this session. The Australians would be raring to have a crack at their opponents and clean up the tail as early as they can.
