The
Delhi Daredevils will play the Pune Warriors India in the 68th game
of the Indian Premier League. The match will be played at the Feroz
Shah Kotla in Delhi and will see the two sides fight it out to get out of
that bottom position in the points table.
The Delhi Daredevils will look to ensure that they can get going with some
kind of a traction after having a tournament where they have made selectorial
blunders and struggled with both, the batting and the bowling. The batting has
lacked the depth, which has made Sehwag a vital cog in their wheel. Now, with
Virender Sehwag absent due to his shoulder injury, it will be difficult
for the sides to get going in any way - not with Dave Warner in the kind of
lost form that he is in.

On the other hand, the Pune Warriors India will look to ensure that they also
get off that dreaded bottom position. They are currently at the tenth spot with
eight points from 13 games and a loss here will put them there. On the other hand,
if they can win this game, they will be left with 10 points and if the Chargers
lose their game as well, they will end on the eighth position - a much better
stand than what they would have had if they lose the game.
The Daredevils will need to get going with their batting which has been so
appalling that the side has tried out many different options and yet, have not
been able to get going. This includes the likes of Venugopal Rao and
Naman Ojha showing no kind of batting talents and that will make it difficult
for the side in this game. They did try out S Sriram in the side but one feels
that he batted far too high up the order and will look to ensure that they can
get Travis Birt to bat when the side needs some quick runs.
This will also need the bowling to step up. When a bowler like Morne Morkel struggles
to make inroads you know that the team isn't in the best of healths. On the other
hand, Irfan Pathan has shown considerable improvement from what he has done so
far, but that does not mean that he is still, a match winner in his own right.
