The first ODI in a five-match series between Pakistan and the West Indies
was washed out without a ball being bowled on Tuesday.
Heavy rains continued to bucket down in Rawalpindi forcing
umpires Daryl Harper and Aleem Dar to call the match off.
Pakistani captain Inzamam Ul Haq is eligible to play the next game in
Faisalabad on Thursday. His four-match ban for his role in the Brit Oval
drama back in August is now over.
Windies skipper Brian Lara told Cricinfo, "The
weather wasn't great but we have to move on," he said. "The focus
is now on the second match as the series moves on."
