It seems Bangladesh have now something to cheer. They have beaten the West Indies who have bowled out them only 58 runs in the last World Cup. In fact,
the Twenty20 clash was a breathtaking match and Bangladesh hold the nerve and
won the battle. Their next meeting will be on Thursday, October 13 at 14:00 IST
8:30 GMT when they will be meeting in the first ODI match of three-match series.

Batting first West Indies put up a moderate total of 136/6. Their hard hitter
Samuels scored 58 runs from 42 balls; he was the most successful batsman among
all of them.
Their batsmen failed to produce according their expectation as two Bangladeshi
spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Abdur Razzak restricted them very well though
Samuels accelerated the run rate. So, in the first ODI match West Indies team
have to play better than Bangladeshi spin attack.
They have to keep in mind that Bangladeshi all rounder Shakib Al Hasan plays for
Kolkata Knight Riders regularly and performs pretty well, he will be always lurking
for any mistake from West Indies and will try hard and soul to get wickets.
The tourists have to give more priority to build up innings rather than hitting
big shots. Their opponent have got the momentum and they will try to exploit it.
Bowling performance of West Indies has been pretty dismal. They were trying to
produce too many short balls and were punished as they were not accurate at all.
Rampaul and Samuels should be trying to do better with the ball as they got two
wickets each in the Twenty20 match.
Bangladesh must be a lot of relieved team now. They must have been waiting
for this day since their humiliation, and finally they have done it. At first
they bowled well. The line and length of ex skipper Shakib al Hasan and
off spinner Abdur Razzak put the tourists a lot of pressure and then they started
to lose wickets regularly.
Pace man Shafiul Islam also picked up two wickets like these two spinners.
In fact, they took the maximum advantage of the pitch and the home support.
Later on, while batting they had a good start but they could not hold it. This
should be kept in mind always till the next ODI match. They need to build up
from the beginning because newly appointed skipper Mushfiqur Rahim may
not be able to achieve a win hitting over-boundary in every match.
Suddenly everything have changed, Bangladesh must be trying to repeat
the result what they did against mighty New Zealand side team not so long ago.
All they need is now to keep their brain cool in pressure situation and must
not make any big mistake which they tend to do frequently. Millions of Bangladeshi
fans will be really hoping for a good match and a win.
