The reason for this is simple. The Mumbai Indians are being led by Sachin Tendulkar,
whereas the Chennai Super Kings are being led by the Indian captain MS
Dhoni. The Tendulkar v Dhoni combination is obviously going to be one that will
be talked about a lot.
On the other hand, the two teams had met in the final of the previous game
as well. This just goes to show that these are the best teams on show and will
look to continue to thrill the crowds at the wankhede, who would have turned
up in huge numbers.
The Mumbai Indians have now won three games out of the four that they
have played in the tournament so far. they won their first two matches against
the Delhi and Bangalore teams, before Kochi defeated them in the third game.
their comeback win was against the Pune Warriors in the previous game as they
got down to the last ball to get to the winning runs.
On the other hand, Super Kings have not had it easy. They started with a win
against the Kolkata Knight Riders but then were pushed to a loss by the Paul Valthaty show at Mohali. The third game was a win against the Royal Challengers
Bangalore before they went down to the Kochi Tuskers in the previous game to
make it two wins and two losses.
Another loss here for the Super Kings will push them down in the points table.
The players to look out for the Mumbai Indians are Kieron Pollard, who
hasn't had a chance to bat and has not bowled too well in the series so far.
amongst the bowlers, the likes of Lasith Malinga will soon be going away to
Sri Lanka to play in the series which means that the side will need to ensure
that they can also try out newer bowlers. Abu Nechim's performance in the previous
game will make it interesting for Harbhajan Singh if he is fit to comeback.
The Super Kings will look at Murali Vijay to provide them with a cracking
start.
